Helping Fund Youth Programs in our Community.

The Oakville Awards for Business Excellence recognize exemplary models of business excellence and community service in six categories of Oakville businesses. This prestigious award program, now entering its 13th year, is organized by The Rotary Club of Oakville West, in association with the Oakville Chamber of Commerce.  The “OABE” process culminates in a prominent Gala Dinner and Award ceremony.  The Gala Award Dinner event for the 2007 Awards will be held Thursday April 3, 2008 at the Oakville Conference and Banquet Centre (Wyecroft and Bronte Rd).

The OABE and Gala also serve the community by raising funds that directly help the youth of Oakville. These funds provide for the Rotary Club’s numerous youth and academic programs such as the Oakville Awards for Academic Excellence, the Oakville Youth Development Centre, and Camp Enterprise. Since its inception, the OABE has generated over a quarter of a million dollars in youth support and student awards while honouring over 150 exceptional entrepreneurs and businesses in our town.

The proceeds from the 27 Sponsors of the 2006 Gala Awards Dinner held April 12, 2007 included considerable support from our many in-kind sponsors and totalled an amazing $40,000.
